Concentration of CO2 in the Atmosphere

From the Sierra Club:

Dear Friends,

A quarter million.

That’s how many electric vehicles (EVs) will be on the road in the U.S. when the 4th annual National Drive Electric Week kicks off on September 15. If you’ve been watching the fast acceleration in EV sales over the past few years, you don’t need me to tell you that we’re on the cusp of an exciting vehicle revolution!

There are so many electric vehicles coming on the market now, and so many people interested in learning more about them, that we had to turn National Plug In Day intoNational Drive Electric Week — you just can’t fit all these exciting events into a single day!

Join us September 15-21 in more than 115 cities in 35 states for the annual event designed to showcase the speed, convenience, clean-air benefits and fuel cost-savings of electric vehicles through ride-and-drives and other great activities. There’s an event near you, so don’t miss out!

Have you been hearing about all the new electric vehicle options and want to ride in one yourself to see what all the buzz is about? National Drive Electric Week is your chance to do just that, and to ask current EV owners any questions you have about driving or owning an EV.

Each celebration event will be led by local EV drivers and advocates and will include some combination of EV parades, test rides, press conferences, award ceremonies, informational booths, and more. At some events, people can even learn about options to charge plug-in cars with solar power!

Whether you want to see a Tesla up close and personal, or take a ride in a Chevy Volt, you won’t want to miss out on National Drive Electric Week. There’s an event near you, so sign up today to let us know you’ll be there!

This national celebration — which has quadrupled in size since its 2011 launch — is the place to be for EV enthusiasts and people interested in making the switch to greener driving. Cities all over the country will offer activities organized nationally by the Sierra Club, Plug In America and the Electric Auto Association — as well as other groups at the local level. Don’t miss out!

Thanks for all you do for the environment,

Gina Coplon-Newfield
Sierra Club Future Fleet & Electric Vehicles Initiative Director
