Vermont Green Up Day: May 7th
Always the first Saturday in May, Green Up Vermont rallies thousands of volunteers across Vermont to get outside and clean up roadsides and waterways. This year Green Up Day is on May 7th. This is a statewide spring-cleaning of our beautiful environment. Pick up your free Green Up supplies from your volunteer town coordinator and spend an hour or two picking up litter around your town. Earth Day: April 22nd
While every day is Earth Day at Green Energy Times, the official Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd. First held in 1970, this day was designed to foster appreciation for the earth’s environment. Check out events in your local community on how you can help celebrate Earth.
