The 23-member Climate Council was born out of the Global Warming Solutions Act and is tasked with creating a climate action plan to ensure we meet our emissions requirements, prioritize our most vulnerable communities, and build a stronger, more resilient economy. Comprised of representatives from many walks of life, they’re our neighbors, classmates, business leaders, and environmental stewards. Each bringing distinct perspectives from the communities that make our little state such a special place to live and work.
Join VBSR and The Nature Conservancy to meet a few of them, learn about the cost of climate impacts, the economic opportunities climate action presents, and how to engage in the Climate Council’s work to support both a healthy planet and a just, prosperous Vermont.
