Concentration of CO2 in the Atmosphere

House Climate Action Needed

To friends concerned about preserving a livable world,

In July, U.S. Senators received over 50,000 messages from Citizens’ Climate Lobby members and friends, all asking them to address climate change by putting a price on carbon. That was a big deal!

Those messages moved the Senate and they are talking about it. There’s no way to know how this will all play out when the actual bill gets written, but we know it’s under consideration – and that is so much more than we could say at any point in the past. We need your help to get the House ready to vote in favor of carbon pricing once the reconciliation bill arrives from the Senate – and we’re hoping you will help us do that.

Economists tell us that putting a price on carbon is the fastest way to drop CO2 levels. Making the polluters pay while protecting the economically disadvantaged should be the goal. A carbon tax will get everyone thinking about how to cut their carbon use… and a carbon dividend will give those who need it most, the money to do something about it!

Please go to cclusa.org/house.

This action will take less than 5 minutes – and please call before September 1.

There will be a lot of push and pull on members of Congress this month, and we want to make sure that they are pulled toward keeping this a livable planet. This is our best chance in many years.
