Public Meetings on the Draft State Energy Strategy

The State Energy Advisory Council along with NH Office of Energy Planninghave been develop a strategy “to ensure that the state’s energy policies and programs support the state’s economic, environmental, and public health goals.”  This is an important energy planning process as specified in the SB191 2013 state legislation.  Your input is appreciated.

OEP released a Draft State Energy Strategy in May, and is hosting seven public meetings around the state to seek public input.  One meeting is coming up tomorrow at LRCC:

Thursday, June 19, 6:00 pm, Academic Commons, CAT Building
Lakes Region Community College
379 Belmont Road, Laconia, NH 03246

LRCC’s Energy Services and Technology program’s Energy Lab is nearby, and will be open for Energy Lab tours before and after the meeting.  Stop by and say hello.

Additional June and July public meetings will be in Portsmouth, Nashua and Plymouth.  Advance registration is encouraged by emailing <oepinfo@nh.gov> with “Energy Strategy Registration” in the subject line.  Walk-ins are also welcome.
