VT Tech to offer first training of its kind in the state on October 13
Randolph Center, VT. The increasing number of electric vehicles on the road increases the need for safety, service, and sales personnel to understand the technology and how to handle it safely. In response, Vermont Technical College will host four courses to address the training needs of these audiences.
The first training in the series – First Responder Safety Training for Electric Drive Vehicles – will be held on Saturday, October 13 at Vermont Technical College’s Randolph campus. The course is open to all first responders and emergency personnel and is free of charge.
The Vermont Tech Green Trainings program, part of VT Tech’s Office of Continuing Education & Workforce Development, will host the four trainings. Funding is provided by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Course Schedule:
- Electric Drive Vehicles: First Responder Safety Training – October 13, 2012
- Intro to Hybrid and Electric Vehicles – January 4, 2013
- Auto Body Technician Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Service – February 15, 2013
- Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance – May 16-17, 2013
