Blittersdorf to Speak at Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Symposium

Where: Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C.

When: Friday, November 5th, 2010.

Alternative energy entrepreneur David Blittersdorf, CEO of AllEarth Renewables (Williston, VT) and founder of NRG Systems (Hinesburg, VT), will participate in a panel discussion about climate change and the future of renewable energy with leading climate-change scientists James Hansen, Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, and Tony Haymet, Director of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was established in 1945 by scientists, engineers, and other experts who had created the atomic bomb as part of the Manhattan Project and later devoted themselves to warning the public about the consequences of using nuclear weapons. The two-day event presents ideas and discussion on a variety of topics such as nuclear proliferation, climate change and the promises and perils of synthetic biology.
