Catamount Solar, Vermont’s only employee-owned solar installation company, is proud to share its support of local communities through its member giving program. Since the start of 2024, Catamount Solar has contributed $27,000 to 15 community organizations throughout the state, furthering its commitment to local wellbeing and sustainable energy.
“We believe that our success is tied to the overall health of the communities we serve,” says Jarred Cobb, general manager for Catamount Solar. “We extend that ethos throughout our entire business model, from being employee-owned to our commitment to giving back and supporting organizations that are making a difference in areas including health care, conservation, and youth sports.”
This year, donations went to a range of organizations including Brigit’s Foundation; The Shaun Corbett Foundation; ARC Rutland Area; Vermont Campership Fund; Pathways Vermont; Hope for Hannah; Green Mountain Conservation Camp; Randolph Youth Baseball and Softball Association, The Renita Marshall Helping Hands Foundation; Friends of Kimball Library; Riders in Plainfield-Marshfield; Last Mile Ride Gifford Health Care; and Central Vermont Refugee Action Network.
Since its start in 2011, Catamount Solar has operated as an employee-owned cooperative, sharing in its ownership responsibilities, and as a result, its employee engagement and investment in each solar project’s success. This structure ensures that Catamount Solar remains rooted in the community and stays committed to its mission of delivering high-quality solar energy solutions while promoting social and environmental responsibility.
Catamount Solar serves residential and commercial clients throughout Vermont and New Hampshire and offers a wide range of services including solar installations and battery storage solutions. The company is a trusted name in the renewable energy industry and is known for its dedication to customer satisfaction and sustainable practices.
Catamount Solar remains steadfast in its sustainable energy and community development, and is excited to deepen its relationships with local organizations.
