Washington, D.C., December 18, 2023 – On Tuesday, December 19, U.S. Agriculture Deputy Secretary Xochitl Torres Small will visit Weare, New Hampshire, where she will visit a local business and meet with local producers and community leaders. There, she will discuss efforts by the Biden-Harris Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to lower energy costs, generate new income, and strengthen the resilience of farm and rural business operations across the country. These investments are made possible in part by President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, the nation’s largest-ever investment in combatting the climate crisis.
