NY Invests $70 Million in Window Air Source Heat Pumps – Maria Gallucci – Canary Media – “On Tuesday, New York leaders announced a $70 million initial investment to deploy 30,000 window-sized electric heat pumps in apartments citywide. Gradient and another company, the global appliance maker Midea America, each won seven-year contracts to develop and produce devices for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), which provides affordable housing. Leaders in other cities, including Jersey City, Boston and Seattle, say they’re tracking the project’s progress closely.” Full article here.

NGRID: 25% Clean Heat Incentive Increase in Gas Constrained Zip Codes – National Grid has “announced a new initiative to increase incentives in gas-constrained communities identified as high priority for electrification… Our residential, multi-family* and small business customers in the 53 designated priority electrification zip codes will receive an additional 25% incentive on installations after September 1, 2022.
