A new exciting career opportunity as a Service Technician is available with RunTime Solar, a Norwich Technologies company. Norwich Technologies, Inc. currently manages over 30 megawatts of PV solar sites across New England, including group net metered community solar, nonprofit, and commercial and industrial installations. RunTime Soar will extend that skilled project management to third party sites by providing a wide scope of services ranging from vegetation control and warranty repair, to ongoing preventative maintenance and real-time performance reporting.
RunTime Solar is looking to expand their team of trained professionals who are experts in their field, currently with a total of 40+ combined years of solar experience. With an emphasis on solar technologies and innovative solutions, they are not content to just provide a solar service. They are working as a proactive solar management company, using data and analytics accompanied with real-world experience to search for and deliver optimized solutions to allow their clients to get the most productive use out of their solar developments and maximize their financial gains.
The primary focus of the O&M Service Technician role will be to perform service work, warranty work, and O&M duties throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. PV system project size will range from 5kW to 5MW, including both ground-mounted and roof-mounted residential, commercial, and utility-scale grid-tied systems. The position will be responsible for troubleshooting, documenting, and tracking assignments until completion, as well as data analysis using online monitoring platforms.
Dan Kinney, General Manager says the goal of RunTime Solar is to manage solar assets to ensure a seamless 365 day a year operation with low environmental impact, while helping system owners maximize their investment by offering services like Norwich Technologies’ SnowShedder™ device. Developed by Norwich Technologies’ R&D team from private and federal DOE grants, the SnowShedder service will boost production of solar arrays in winter months when snow cover negatively impacts system performance.
