Where: 22 Loud Lane, Warner, NH (Park along the road in front of the 1760 farmhouse and half deconstructed barn)
Details: Join Bret Ingold for a tour of the Foster Farm restoration project and Community Land Trust, an emerging community-scale permaculture project. The tour will then visit the neighboring family homestead Wildwood, which includes examples of cordwood masonry, geodesics, yurts and some basic earthen bag work. We will continue through no-till gardens, the young orchard and hay fields to an area of new construction demonstrating straw bale and traditional timber frame construction, with a high efficiency and passive solar design. Afterwards we will head into town to look at connected community scale projects – The Harris lodge community kitchen, the solar powered amphitheater, the new educational community garden. We will end the tour at Warner Public Market, a multi-stakeholder cooperative.
