After careful consideration the NY-GEO Board has decided to reschedule this year’s NY-GEO 2020 Conference: Electrify with Heat Pumps to September 9 & 10, 2020. The conference will take place at the same venue, the Albany Marriott and with the same 4 Tracks with 32 Educational Sessions and a Full Exhibitor Hall.
While we cannot predict exactly how the situation with the coronavirus will unfold, we do know that it continues to affect major cities and communities around the world. Our hearts go out to all of those affected by this virus and we believe the precautionary step of rescheduling the NY-GEO 2020 Conference is in the best interests of our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees, as well as the hotel staff.
Our decision was influenced by a growing number of speakers and participants reporting organizational travel bans, preventing their participation and impacting our ability to deliver the high-quality, in-person experience our attendees have come to expect.
The Albany Marriott has graciously allowed us to reschedule to their next available open date in September with no penalty. All prepaid sponsorships, exhibition space and any admission fees will be held and honored for the September 9th and 10th dates.
New York’s PSC allocated $454 million
on Jan.16 for heat pumps in an effort to reduce climate destabilizing greenhouse gases in the heating sector. Come learn what all the fuss is about !
Be part of a fantastic program
that will help policy makers, installers, organizers, architects, clean energy activists, contractors, building owners and managers, engineers and more to plug into the renewable heat momentum building in New York and across the northeast! Workshops this year will be expanded to 4+ tracks to include air source as well as ground source heat pumps, and to focus on policies and initiatives that are common to both technologies.
For Building Professionals, NY-GEO 2020 will provide continuing education credits for building professionals, including IGSHPA, BPI, AIA (for architects) LEED (self reporting) and NYSSPE credits for engineers.
