“This is a crisis worthy of international action and recognition. Just as the Amazon Fires gained international attention, this much worse disaster should as well. These fires are a culmination of climate change and government mismanagement and only act as a sign of what is to come, not only in Australia, but globally.”

Note: the current size of the fires, 11,300,000 acres, is a bit shy of double the size of Vermont.
