Big News for NY Geothermal Heating

On February 7, 2017, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a proposal to provide incentives for geothermal heat pumps. This is a $15 million program, with the maximum incentive to be a $6000 rebate. This news just came out as Green Energy Times was preparing to go to press. More will be coming in our next issue. 2017 NY-GEO Conference:

Helping NY Meet its Greenhouse Gas Goals

New York needs to cut all greenhouse gas emissions to meet its reduction targets. Attendees at the third annual NY-GEO 2017 Conference can learn how geothermal heating and cooling can help meet that need.

The conference will be held at the Wolf Road Radisson in Albany, NY on April 19 and 20. The Conference features two main content-rich workshop tracks discussing latest technology and policy advances:

  1. Sustainability track, for engineers, architects, consultants, and policy-makers is eligible for Professional Development Hours and American Institute of Architects credits.
  2. Best Practices track provides information for installation contractors, drillers, building owners, and managers.
