Littleton Food Co-op

The Littleton Food Co-op is excited to invite community members to attend a groundbreaking event on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 11:30-12:30 pm at the store on Bethlehem Road.  Light refreshments will be served and the speakers, including Senator Jeff Woodburn, will begin at noon. This ceremony kicks-off the 2016/2017 expansion project.  The Littleton Food Co-op will remain open for regular hours during the entire project expected to last 7 months.

This $3.3 million dollar construction project will add over 9500 square feet to the existing building.  This space will include a 30 seat indoor/outdoor café; a teaching kitchen and community meeting space; administrative offices will be moved on-site; and the receiving and retail areas will expand.  The project is made possible by many generous co-op member lenders and Mascoma Savings Bank, Grafton Region Economic Development, and NH Community Loan Fund. The co-op looks forward to working with General Contractor Trumbull Nelson and Gossens Bachman Architects who designed expansions for Hunger Mountain and Brattleboro Co-ops in Vermont.

General Manager, Ed King explains “The 5 year goals of the project are to increase our annual sales by more than $4 million, increase local purchases to $3 million annually and create 30 new jobs.”

Member-owned Littleton Consumer Cooperative Society, Inc. serves the North Country of New Hampshire and Northeast Kingdom of Vermont by providing a broad range of high quality food products, a variety of local and natural items, offered at a fair price, with outstanding service.

Located at the intersection of Cottage Street and Route 302 (exit 41 off I-93), the Littleton Food Co-op is open daily, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. All are welcome to shop the Co-op, member or not.
