Hanover, NH — Hundreds of members of the Upper Valley plan to gather at the Dartmouth Green on Wednesday August 10th at 5pm to form a huge “human sun,” spelling out a bold message with their bodies to show support for 100% clean energy.
16 cities around the country have made commitments to get to 100% clean energy — ranging from major urban areas like San Diego to smaller cities like Grand Rapids, MI. A rapidly-growing movement in the Upper Valley is calling on our community to commit to 100% clean energy and make our region a national leader in clean energy innovation.
The event will feature renewable energy supporters joining hands in the shape of an original art logo designed by internationally renowned aerial artist John Quigley. With overhead photography to capture the image, hundreds of people will pose with their bodies to create the image of a huge sun encircling “100%” to symbolize the demand for powering the Upper Valley with entirely clean energy.
