February 19, 12 – 1 pm
NH recently expanded its net metering law to include group, also know as virtual, net metering. This webinar, the first of a three-part series, will go through the basics of this new law, the interim rules as governed by the Public Utilities Commission, and how towns and communities can potentially use this valuable new tool to develop local renewable energy electric resources.
The speakers will include:
- Kate Epsen, Executive Director of the NH Sustainable Energy Association. Kate has been the ED of the NHSEA for nearly a year, before which she worked as an analyst in the Sustainable Energy Division of the Public Utilities Commission.
- Clay Mitchell, Esq. PhD, Founder of Revolution Energy. Clay co-founded Revolution Energy, a distributed energy project development and finance company. He also works as a town planner, as the Policy Director for NHSEA, and teaches Environmental and Community Planning at the University of New Hampshire.
- Elijah Emerson, Esq. Attorney with Primmer Piper Eggleston and Cramer. Eli practices energy law in both New Hampshire and Vermont, with extensive experience in distributed generation development, including net metering, and utility and ratepayer areas of electric and energy efficiency regulation.
