The Tar Sands Exposed: Exploring the Human and Environmental Costs speaking tour will feature National Geographic Photographer Garth Lenz, and First Nations Activist Crystal Lameman, who are traveling throughout New England to share their powerful stories.
And if there is space:
Lenz has been focusing on the tar sands issue for the past several years. He captures the vast destruction through photos both on the ground and in the air. His work has also brought him into the bush, where he has heard the story of the First Nations people.
Lameman of the Beaver Lake Cree Nation will awaken the audience to the current realities of how their people’s land, ecosystems, cultural heritage, and their health are being sacrificed by the world’s wealthiest and most powerful industries.
