Concentration of CO2 in the Atmosphere

Two Conservation Programs

Ever wonder which animals will be coming and going, partially as a result of climate change? And what you can do about it?

Well, wonder no longer! To kick off our The Year of Habitat, The Thetford and West Fairlee Conservation Commissions are offering a two-for-one mud season special to increase awareness of the animals in our own backyards.

On Tuesday, March 26th at 7 p.m. at the Westshire Elementary School (West Fairlee), State Wildlife Biologist Jens Hilke will tell us Why Bobcats Are Back. In his talk, among other revelations, Jens will tell us where bobcats like to roam and what type of habitat will ensure their survival.

Not to be outdone…

On Thursday, April 11th at 7 p.m. at the Thetford Elementary School (Thetford Hill), noted wildlife tracker, interpreter and photographer Sue Morse will deliver a presentation on Animals Of The North: What Will Global Climate Change Mean For Them? To learn more about Sue, visit the website of the organization she founded, Keeping Track.

Mark your calendars now to attend both fascinating (and free) events. You won’t be disappointed. Plus, refreshments will be served!
