PAREI Upcoming Events

 – SOLAR ENERGY RAISER  September 8, 2012  Meet 8:30am Start 9:00am   PAREI will be installing an Apricus 20 Evacuated Tube Collector in Rumney, NH at the home of Susan Sepnoski and Brett Durham.  The home is on the same grounds as the Rumney Veterinary Hospital on Quincy Road in Rumney (Just East of the Rumney Town Common).

Whether you are new to solar energy or not, we are looking for volunteers interested in learning “hands on” about installing a solar water heating system. Solar  Energy Raisers are modeled after a “barn-raising” following the tradition of neighbor helping neighbor.  The teams for the day are the Collector Team, Tank Team, Electrical Team, Chase Team, Tube Team, Pipe Insulating Team and the Observers/Extra Hands. Volunteers are encouraged to bring tools such as cordless drills and pipe cutters. New volunteers should bring when feasible a tool belt with work gloves, black sharpie, tape measurer, rag, safety glasses and utility knife. Safety harnesses may be required for Collector Team.  – Solar Water Heating Information Session – Noon, Saturday,  September 8th, 113 Quincy Road Rumney Road.  Are you interested in learning more about PAREI and how you can heat your domestic water with solar technology?  Then stop by this 45 minute information session while the PAREI volunteers are installing an Apricus Solar Collector via the Solar Energy Raiser process.  No RSVP necessary, just show up at Noon!

 – Sadhana Forest Presentation – Presenters:  Aviram and Yorit Rozin  will share stories about their journey to start Sadhana Forest in India and Haiti.  Topics will include: Leaving the corporate world to start over in India, Their reforestation and sustainability work and doing it all over again in Haiti and soon in Kenya.  September 19, 7pm PSU Boyd Hall 144  www.sadhanaforest.org
