Sustainable Rutland’s Trash 2 Art Contest

Calling All Artists!
Sustainable Rutland’s fourth-annual Trash 2 Art Contest & Exhibit returns on Saturday, October 6, from 11am-3pm on Center Street in Downtown Rutland.

Learning to reduce, reuse and recycle is an important part of everyone’s life and an essential component of a healthy environment. This project encourages everyone — no matter your experience or lack of experience with art — to turn trash into art and have fun doing it. The 2012 Trash 2 Art Contest & Exhibit is open to ALL AGES and NO artistic background is necessary! Participants can enter as individuals, teams or families. This is an art contest and exhibit of durable art of any size made from found objects, surplus materials, used items, trash or anything else that might find its way into our landfills.
