Coming up at the Upper Valley Co-op!
April 21, 5:30 to 7:30: Upstairs at the Co-op: Second Citizens’ Law Forum. Come and discuss laws and policies regarding healthy agriculture and food systems. Local attorneys Gary Schall and Ken Miller will participate, as well as representatives from Rural Vermont.
In addition to the lawyers named in our original announcement, Marne Coit will be attending the forum. Marne is knowledgeable in food and agricultural law and policy, with a focus on sustainable agriculture; she has been trying to follow and interpret developments in the next Federal Farm Bill.
Bring your issues for discussion! Free. Please come! And please park either behind the Co-op; in the parking lot at 211 North Main (next to the Court Diversion offices); or across the street in the parking lot of the Bugbee Senior Center.
April 22, 1-6 PM: Earth Day Celebration! Celebrate our local foods and local music! Many local vendors with samples of their wares: Liberty chocolate, Tastes of Africa, Samples of any local cheese you want to try, Blue Moon Sorbet, and many more! And our famous local musicians: Adam Gordon, Tony Mason, Vince Kelly and possibly others! And 5% discount on any purchases… Come on down!
April 30, 9 AM to Noon: Upstairs at the Co-op: Rug Braiding Class. Learn basics and variations of rug-braiding with experienced rug-braiders Martha McDaniel and Kye Cochran.
Limited to 6 people.

Garden Plots: Plots available in the Garden at Ratcliffe Park! Each plot is 9’ X 12’, and rental is $20 for the season. To sign up, go to this website:

We would like to offer garden plots, as well – on Wright’s Mountain Road.
$20 for the season. We will till the soil for you or you can do it yourself … and we have plenty of composted manure available! You are responsible for weeding and fencing. We can help set posts with our post hole digger.
