This Saturday, we have the opportunity to show the world and our leaders that we say NO to offshore drilling, and YES to clean energy.
When: Saturday, June 26, 11 AM local time
Where: A beach or public place near you
Find a Hands Across the Sand event near you >>
On beaches and in other public places across the nation, we will join hands this Saturday–it might well be our best chance to take a strong stand against offshore drilling and to show our support for those suffering in the Gulf of Mexico.
But perhaps more importantly, the events this Saturday are an amazing opportunity to help build a long-term movement for clean energy. At the end of the day, the invariable question will be, “What can we do next?” And we have a good answer. The Global Work Party on October 10th, 2010 will be focused on solutions–it’s a practical day of action for people to get to work and reduce Carbon emissions in our communities.
When you attend a Hands Across the Sand event this weekend, you will be surrounded by like-minded people who are eager to take action. Take the time to talk to some of your neighbors and start planning for a 10/10/10 Work Party in your area.
