Vermonters know that investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy is not just good for the environment; it’s also good for their wallets. One of the big reasons it can be hard for Vermonters to install renewables and save money over the long haul is finding the upfront money you need to make these smart investments can be tough.
That’s starting to change.
Vermont’s PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program makes finding that funding much easier. This Saturday, there’s an exciting event that will provide an opportunity for Vermonters to learn how this program could help them and their communities finance and advance renewable energy and efficiency projects.

And after you find out how to move your home and your town towards a clean energy future, this coming week Dr. Helen Caldicott will be crisscrossing Vermont to talk about the dangers of nuclear power. Named by the Smithsonian Institute one of the most influential women of the 20th Century, Dr. Caldicott has devoted the past 38 years about the hazards of nuclear power and the changes we need to make to stop environmental destruction.

We’ve had some huge steps forward on clean energy in the past year but we still need to go further. Let’s take a moment to step back and make the most of our accomplishments, and remember what we’re fighting for.
Thanks for all that you do.
