Montpelier’ on Transition Vermont!
Time: January 21, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm
Location: Kellogg Hubbard Library
Organized By: Kellogg Hubbard Library & Transition Town Montpelier
Event Description:
The Transition Town approach squarely faces the unprecendented challenges of peak oil, climate change, economic instability, and then aims to inspire, network and support communities, including existing groups, in meeting these challenges by unleashing the collective genius of our own people. Transition Town Montpelier is now the 6th “official” Transition Initiative in the United States. Transition Town Montpelier’s mission is to help facilitate the development of resilient systems in Montpelier and surrounding communities by reskilling and relocalizing. Join us for this documentary that not only explains what Transition is all about, but also shows what is happening in positive grass roots movement in different “transition towns” around the globe. Come get inspired and connect with others in our own Transition community. Sponsored by Transition Town Montpelier and the Kellogg Hubbard Library “Third Thursday Transition series” at the Library See more details and RSVP on Transition Vermont:http://transitionvermont.ning.com/even/even/show?id=2432395%3AEvent%3A19105&xgi=49mwRzTybqbq2B&xg_source=msg_invite_event
