Clean energy does NOT include offshore drilling, gas fracking or coal. I have to consequently question your sincerity about Clean Renewable Energy, which should be one of your top concerns Energy plan calls for Vermont to receive 90% of its energy from renewable sources by 2050. Vermont can do this — but the governor needs your support. Sanders will address the need to create jobs, promote sustainable energy … in Bennington on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 12, 2012 Current state policy supports the development of environmentally sound in-state hydroelectric projects.… In-state hydro is the least expensive power currently being generated by the utilities.…Nevertheless, very few new hydro projects have moved forward in the state. We have until 2017 to get our carbon emissions down! we are home to one of the first small-scale hydro projects to be commissioned in New England in some time.
