“Healthy Diets and Sustainable Food Systems” Workshop
The Monadnock Food Co-op will host a free workshop called “Healthy Diets and Sustainable Food Systems” on January 8, 2020, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Hannah Grimes Center, 25 Roxbury Street, Keene.
In 2019, the EAT-Lancet Commission
released its “Planetary Health Diet” Report with accolades from agricultural scientists and nutritionists, but organizations such as the World Health Organization, as well as some human nutrition experts, raised concerns. In this class, Cynthia Knipe will look at the recommendations and objections to help individuals evaluate their own food choices and their impacts on the planet and personal health.
This event is free, but registration is required: Visit monadnockfood.coop/event/healthydiets/ or call 603-283-5401.
