Concentration of CO2 in the Atmosphere

Tom Gilbert will be keynote speaker at the Vermont Environmental Summit

This Sunday, November 18th, VPIRG and the Toxics Action Center will be hosting the Vermont Environmental Summit at the Vermont Technical College in Randolph. This year, we are thrilled to announce Tom Gilbert will be our keynote speaker. Tom is the Executive Director of the Highfields Center for Composting based in Hardwick. The Highfields Center’s mission is to “close the loop” on community-based, sustainable food and agricultural systems, thus addressing a host of pressing environmental issues.

Join us for this year’s Vermont Environmental Summit!

In addition to an inspiring speech by Tom, there will be a variety of workshops on paramount environmental issues, followed by skill workshops and issue-based discussion groups so you can put your newfound knowledge to work in your community right away. Come get inspired, learn some useful new skills and information, and spend some time getting to know people from all over the state who share your concerns and values. You can register and pay online at:

The early-bird deadline to register (and get discounted tickets) is Noon on Friday, November 16th, so don’t wait! However, if you miss the deadline you can register and purchase your ticket the day of the conference. Don’t miss your opportunity to join us in a day of learning, networking, planning and action!
