Renewable Energy Vermont is hosting the 11th annual Renewable Energy Conference & Expo on Oct. 1&2 at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center.
Keynote Address
Renewable Energy is one of the few proactive solutions that offers multiple wins: climate change mitigation, energy security, consistent fuel prices, and of course, jobs. The Keynote for this year’s conference, David Foster, is Executive Director of BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of organizations dedicated to expanding the number and quality of jobs in the green economy. From 1989-2006, Foster served as Director of United Steelworkers District 11, a 13-state region spanning from Minnesota to Washington State and Alaska and representing a diverse membership of 43,000. For the past 20 years, Foster has been among the labor movement’s leading environmental advocates and has spoken on trade, global warming, and environmental issues to labor, management, environmental and governmental audiences in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan. We welcome his vision and experience as our keynote presenter on Renewable’s New Mission: Renewing American Prosperity.

Renewable Energy 2012: Driving Towards a Smart, Renewable Energy Future will continue to bring together key players in the renewable sectors: business leaders, system operators, manufacturers, engineers, scientists, policy makers, regulators, and academics. The conference, typically drawing hundreds of attendees and exhibitors, is consistently the largest renewable energy conference in the state, and is rapidly expanding to accommodate regional interest.
