Concentration of CO2 in the Atmosphere

Thursday 4/21/2011 Stand Up for RGGI!

Thursday, April 21st, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a public hearing on HB519.

The hearing will take place in Room 201/203 of the Legislative Office Building at 33 North State Street in Concord at 9:00 AM.

The bill, as passed by the New Hampshire House, proposes to end the State’s participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). An amendment that is expected to be introduced at the hearing would continue the state’s participation in the program, but would make a number of changes to how the program works, including the elimination of the Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Energy (EESE) Board.

We encourage you to attend this very important public hearing, and to consider making your voice heard. If you cannot attend, please send your comments. CLICK HERE for Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee member’s contact information.

Thank you,
