Organized By: Anne Miller
Now is the time to start. Planning now will make seed growing next summer easier. This workshop will help beginners to get started, and others to branch out. We will discuss variety selection and seed sources, seed “purity” and isolation methods, space requirements, differences between growing food and growing seed.
This will be a working workshop, so bring your ideas and questions, seed catalogs, pencil and paper. Also bring twin samples of vegetable varieties you grew this summer that you liked – one raw and whole to look at, and one to taste. Cooked vegetables should be prepared in the simplest way.
Presented by Anne Miller, who has been growing/saving seeds since 1988.Sponsored by Transition Town Montpelier and Jaquith Library. Call Anne at 426-3100 for more information.
